Google Notebook stopped, but why the New! label?

Even though Google Notebook service is stopped for new users, I am still seeing the “New!” label for it.
Check http://www.google.com/notebook (to see the below message, logout if you are logged in) and http://www.google.co.in/intl/en/options/ , with the New! label.
