After reading lots of news saying “Android runs in netbook”, are you curious to run android in your laptop/desktop ?
You can download the Android ISO image from here.
Burn the ISO image into a CD, and run it on your laptop/PC.
It is a live CD, and you don’t need to install it on your PC, just run from the CD/DVD drive.
Google has announced that it is working on an Operating System called Chrome OS.
Along with Google’s online apps like GMail, Google Docs, Google Calendar and Google Chrome browser, Chrome OS will be a big challenge to Microsoft.
It will be a light weight Operating System. Will run on x86 as well as ARM chips.
Initially targeted for Netbooks. Netbooks with Chrome OS will be available in Mid 2010.
Chrome OS is not related to Android.
Encourages applications written on Web technologies.
Most likely to get a pre Beta version in few months.
(I created the above picture just to expect and imagine Chrome OS. It is not an official one.)
Windows 7 Beta will be available for download on http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/ tomorrow 1/9/09
It is a free download. Download the ISO, write in a DVD, Install it, then use it (No physical media will be distributed/ sold). Beta installation will expire on Aug 1, 2009.
Better to create a backup disc/ recovery disc before installing Windows 7.
1. Windows 7 is expected to be faster than Vista.
2. Task Bar looks like Quick launch (only icons, no window titles) and we can preview the windows/ applications by moving mouse over the taskbar icons.

4. Application icons in taskbar have a menu with links to recently used files. (Clicking on MS Word icon, shows you recent word documents)
5. Windows 7 can be used with touch screens, for easy navigations
6. Device stage : Manage your devices ( Mobile, Camera, Printer, Data storage device) in a more convenient manner
